COI-Certified Commercial Passenger Boats Built for Revenue
Feil's Southwest Boats represents SolidCraft as our exclusive COI vessel manufacturer — purpose-built commercial passenger platforms for charter operations, water taxis, dinner cruises, wine tours, and experience-driven programs across the Western US.
The Federal Standard for Carrying Passengers for Hire
A Certificate of Inspection is a federal authorization issued by the U.S. Coast Guard that permits a vessel to carry passengers for hire on navigable U.S. waters. If you plan to operate a water taxi, charter service, dinner cruise, wine tour, or any commercial passenger program, your vessel must hold a valid COI.
Not every boat can qualify. COI vessels must be purpose-built or specially engineered to meet strict structural, safety, and operational requirements — including hull construction standards, stability testing, life-saving equipment, fire suppression systems, and crew certification. SolidCraft designs to these standards from the beginning, delivering a vessel ready for the inspection process rather than one that requires costly modifications after the fact.
A COI-rated vessel is not just a compliance requirement — it is the foundation of a scalable, insurable, revenue-generating passenger operation.

Operations We Serve Across the Western US
SolidCraft COI platforms support a wide range of commercial passenger programs on lakes, rivers, and coastal waterways throughout the west.
Charter Operations
Private and group charters requiring federal authorization to carry paying passengers. SolidCraft platforms support multi-hour trips with configurable seating, shaded deck areas, and high-capacity layouts.
Water Taxi Services
Scheduled passenger routes between marinas, resorts, and waterfront destinations. High boarding frequency and efficient passenger flow are built directly into the deck layout and boarding areas.
Dinner and Wine Cruises
Experience-based passenger programs where onboard comfort, deck space, and presentation matter as much as capacity. Configurable deck layouts accommodate dining setups and onboard service stations.
Resort and Marina Transfers
Scheduled shuttle services connecting resort properties, marinas, and waterfront amenities. Designed for reliable daily schedules, fast turnaround, and a consistent guest experience.
Event and Group Charters
Corporate events, private celebrations, and large-group experiences requiring a licensed commercial passenger vessel. High-capacity deck plans with flexible seating configurations support a range of event formats.
Eco and Educational Tours
Nature tours, wildlife viewing, and educational programs on navigable waterways. Stable platforms with open deck areas, low-wake performance, and passenger safety features suited to guided operations.

Engineering Built Around Commercial Passenger Requirements
SolidCraft designs commercial passenger vessels with reinforced hull construction, wide-beam stability, and purpose-built deck layouts that support efficient passenger flow, crew operation, and service access. Every structural decision is made with commercial operation in mind — not adapted from a recreational platform.
